The main character, Josh Langdon, has a lung disease that has caused his lungs to deteriorate slowly his whole life. He is ventilator dependent and because his lung condition has caused him to have very little endurance he uses a power wheelchair to get around when he has to walk longer distances than a few yards.
Despite his condition Josh has graduated college and has a good job as a software developer. After several failed attempts at dating he has given up on finding a girlfriend. Then he meets Janine...
"Jenna & Luke" - ABANDONED - REWRITE IN PROGRESS (Jenna & Luke 2.0)
Set in Los Angeles, CA, USA
After Jenna Garrity graduated from UCLA she moved back to the Midwest where she grew up. Now she's back in LA, where she has just started a graphic design agency with her classmate Sarah. Business isn't great and Jenna is struggling to fit in Sarah's socialite circles; where lunches at Michelin-starred restaurants and romantic getaways are the norm. The only luxury Jenna allows herself is lunch at Starbucks.
Seven years ago Luke Hillbrook was a professional football player. Then he dove head-first into a shallow pond and broke his neck. The accident left him a quadriplegic with limited use of his hands and arms. He's pretty adjusted to his disability, but hasn't been in a relationship since his accident, as he's convinced that no woman can deal with every aspect of his disability. After being coddled by his mother in his hometown Ann-Arbor, MI for a few years he moved back to LA, where he attended UCLA and was the Bruins' star quarterback during his junior and senior year of college. He now works an accountant and eats lunch at the same Starbucks as Jenna.

"Finding Unexpected Love" - ON HIATUS
Set in Washington D.C., USA.
Bryan Norfleet (age 35) is an oncology fellow at Georgetown University hospital. He sustained a spinal cord injury when he fell off a ladder while he helped his brother Josh paint his house and is a T-12 complete paraplegic. He is generally well adjusted to his disability, but as given up on finding a woman to share his life with, he doubts he'll find someone that's okay with all aspects of his disability. Deep down he dreams of having a family of his own, but he doesn't allow himself to think it's ever going to happen.
Meaghan Barnes (age 29) is an architect, works for Weston & Co. Property Development. She is very career oriented and has no real desire to find a man and settle down. She's not the kind of woman that dreams of a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence, a husband, kids, a dog and a mini-van.
When they're dragged to a speed dating session by their brother (Bryan) and best friend (Meaghan) they connect and things change for both of them....

"The Store Manager" - ON HIATUS
Set in Oslo, Norway. (My hometown)
Morten Jacobsen (age 28) has just finished his rehab after a car accident that left him a T-10 complete paraplegic five months earlier. He is struggling to adjust to his disability and doubts his ability to do his job as a store manager at a home- and hardware store in central Oslo. His boss pushes him to go back to work half-time, to help the assistant manager get through the hectic holiday season. When he goes out with his friends one Friday evening he befriends Silje Lien (age 25), who has recently moved to Oslo and just started working as a bartender at Morten's favorite bar. Their friendship slowly develop into romance.
